Come hang with Rainen and learn to apply glass frit to a copper substrate (followed by a quick trip into a HOT kiln). Enamel is an ancient art that fuses glass to metal (in this case copper). The process begins with cutting the copper using tin snips, sprinkling colored glass upon it, and putting it in the kiln for less than a minute. Almost INSTANT satisfaction!
BEHOLD the magic of glass !
$105 includes materials (copper, opaque and transparent glass, specialty glass — “jewels", millefiori (means a thousand flowers) and threads of glass)
you can make your enamel a pin if you wish, drill a hole and make a pendant
Note: Class is small (8 person max) but if its too small it will be rescheduled (under 3 sign ups). Thanks!
Delve more deeply into the technical processes of enameling on copper with us in a private group enameling lesson.
